Singapore Flyer

As promised to my family, we take this afternoon gathering together and going to Singapore Flyer, after my children's school examination. We took the MRT train to City Hall Station and they provided a free shuttle bus service to The Flyer there.

While we waiting in the bus stop, we can see the Esplanade Art Theater at the end of the road, and the "World tallest hotel" Stanford Westin standing in front of the old church.

After 10 minutes drive, we reach the 42 stories high and 150 meters diameter big wheel building here, claim as bigger then London Eye. It just completed early this year and start operation in August 2008.

The ticketing office at the ground floor just beside some restaurants and the air well Rain Forest. From here you look up, you will able to see the huge metal structure of the Flyer carried 28 air-conditional capsules go up and circle. The ticket sold as adult S$29.50 and children S$20.50.

Flight Entrance is located at 2nd floor and we need to go through a scanning machine for security purpose. The friendly officers will pass you a set of Audio Device to listen to the historical of the flyer and the surrounding buildings.

Inside the capsule, we noticed that there was a fixed compass on the ceiling where it can guide us to look out and refer to the map provided. We are able to see the beautiful skyline of Singapore, the Integrated Resort under construction and the busy highway near downtown.

The below image showed that the Integrate Resort look when completed.

Next trip we hope that can see more development of Singapore.
